Welcome!

Continental Divide is an energy and telecommunications cooperative headquartered in Grants, New Mexico. Incorporated on Sept. 14, 1945, as a not-for-profit electric distribution co-op, we have supplied power to our members since energizing in 1946. In 2017, the co-op became a licensed competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) providing telecommunication services under the name Red Bolt Broadband. We are wholly owned by the members served. As of Dec. 31, 2024, Continental Divide employed 85 people at its Grants and Gallup office locations, owned 3,843 miles of primary and secondary distribution and transmission lines and powered more than 23,658 metered services. About 6,100 households and businesses subscribe to Red Bolt Broadband internet and digital phone (VoIP) services. Continental Divide has invested $183.9 million over the years to service its members and consumers.

Continental Divide is dedicated to the mission of providing reliable, affordable electricity and telecommunication services and staying true to our founding philosophy of serving all, including those who would not otherwise be served.

This cooperative is successful because of the dedication of its board and employees who focus on excellence and the continuous effort of improving service to our members and consumers.

I encourage everyone to take an active part in our co-op's affairs, as we always welcome input from our member-owners. Please feel free to stop by or call anytime.
