The "Safety Behind the Switch" Presentation

Safety around electricity doesn't stop with our lineworkers. Continental Divide also empowers elementary students by hosting "The Safety Behind the Switch," a 90-minute safety presentation and facility tour. Kindergarten through sixth-grade students can learn how electricity works and how to stay safe around it through hands-on demonstrations, including our latest addition, "Power Town." This high-voltage diorama of a typical residential neighborhood displays various contact hazards associated with overhead and underground electric lines. also empowers elementary students
