Because of COVID-19 restrictions, our Grants and Gallup offices are closed to the public until further notice.
During business hours, members paying bills by cash, check or money order are asked to use our night-drop boxes. If you pay with cash, the entire amount will be applied to your account. If you would like a receipt, note it on your bill stub, and we will provide one by email or mail. Call 1-844-859-5979 to make credit/debit card or check payments. Pay online at cdec.coop
Payment Options
Payment Arrangements
If you require a payment arrangement on a past due balance, CDEC must receive it in writing. Fax your request to our Grants Office at (505) 287-2234. Or, email it by clicking here. In order to process your request, it MUST include:
- Your CDEC account number
- The account holder's name (first and last)
- The service location where you receive CDEC service
- The date you will pay a past due balance
- The amount you will pay on the date

CDEC offers an automated telephone payment system. It's secure, FREE and available anytime. To make a credit-card or debit-card payment, make sure you have your account number and call our toll-free number at 1-844-859-5979.
Online
CDEC offers e-billing and e-payments online through SmartHub. To pay online using e-billing or e-payments, open SmartHub and follow the on-screen instructions.

CDEC accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover, in person, online and through our toll-free automated payment system.
E-Check (Instant payment by electronic check)

CDEC residential and small commercial members can pay instantly by electronic bank check, using either their checking or savings account. They can also store their information for future use and sign up for Automatic Bank Withdrawal. To use E-check, open SmartHub and follow the on-screen instructions.
Automatic Bank Withdrawal
CDEC also offers automatic bank withdrawals, so a member's billing charges are deducted each month from a financial institution. To sign up, please contact CDEC Billing Supervisor Victoria Gastonguay at (505) 285-6656.
